Lighten Up Colorado

Presented By

What Is It?
Lighten Up Colorado (LUC) is a 10-week team challenge that encourages team members to make gradual, realistic and permanent changes in their dietary and exercise habits that will last a lifetime. LUC

will encourage participants during the program by providing them with exercise outlets, physical activity ideas, as well as tips on healthy eating and nutrition.

What Are Accumulated Activity Minutes?
Teams track minutes based on activities they have performed. Captains total the team's activity minutes and report to the LUC Coordinator monthly to update progress and track performance against other participating teams.

In 2009, the Pikes Peak Region represented 500 participants on 56 different teams in the statewide program, resulting in over 23,394 hours of activity logged!

Where To Begin?
LUC is a team-wellness program designed to unite you and up to nine fellow employees, family members, friends - anyone - on a common journey to improving your physical wellness. Whichever team accumulates the most minutes per participant during the program will be recognized at the 2010 Rocky Mountain State Games Opening Ceremony on Friday, July 30, 2010! All participants will receive a free t-shirt and free entry into the Rocky Mountain State Games 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, August 1, 2010!
